Most people walk past it without knowing it exists.
The Viaduct Bridge sits tucked away in Hampstead Heath, invisible to anyone who doesn’t know where to look. No crowds. No noise. Just water, trees, and the kind of silence that feels almost illegal in London.
I painted this on location, standing on the bridge, surrounded by nothing but nature. No buildings on the horizon. No sirens. Just the sound of the water below and the light filtering through the trees above.
That’s what this painting holds.
Not just a bridge. Not just a park. But that rare feeling of being completely alone with nature, in a city of nine million people.
If you know Hampstead Heath, you know exactly what I mean. And if you don’t, this painting will make you want to find it.
