There is no better classroom than being outside, in front of the subject, with paint on your hands and no way to undo anything.
This watercolour workshop is for painters who want to work from life. We meet at Hampstead Heath at 10am, paint for five hours, and go home with something real on paper.
What the day looks like: We start together. I demonstrate first. You watch how I read the landscape, make decisions, and put paint down without overthinking it. Then you paint. I move around the group, look at what you’re doing, and give you specific feedback on your work. Not general tips. Feedback on what you, specifically, are doing and how to push it further.
By the end of the session you’ll have painted from life for five hours with someone looking over your shoulder who can tell you exactly what’s working and what isn’t.

Location: Hampstead Heath, London. Exact meeting point confirmed by email once you book. You’ll also receive a recommended materials list and everything you need to know before the day.
What to bring: your watercolour kit, something to sit on, layers. London will do the rest.

Payment is due in full at the time of booking. Your place is confirmed once payment is received.
Bookings are non-refundable. If you can no longer attend, you may transfer your place to another person or to a future workshop date, provided you notify us at least 7 days before the event.
If the workshop is cancelled due to severe weather or circumstances beyond our control, you will be offered a transfer to a future date or a full refund.
