I painted this watercolour inspired by St Albans Cathedral, a very iconic place in the city of St Albans, north London. I was living there during the summer for a couple of weeks, and on one of my usual walks, I decided to visit the Cathedral. I made several sketches of the interior and exterior because I really liked the structure of the building and the architecture. I think the good treatment I received in the Cathedral influenced me to paint this interior.
