Old Amersham feels like a place suspended in time.
Standing on the bridge, the world slows down: the stone, the water, the small red flowers by the road, the church watching over it all.
I painted this after a walk through the village with Melody, Alec and Aron.
The sun was bright but soft, and the shadows stretched long over the water.
I caught a glimpse of them ahead, laughing, disappearing into the light.
This painting captures that moment: stillness and movement blending together under the English sky.
