Description
This painting came out of a plein air painting day with several fellow artists. I really enjoyed doing it, even though it is a very touristy area. Literally hundreds of people came to talk to me. It is a painting that is done spontaneously, as the light was changing and I had to be in a hurry to do it. Artworks painted from life have a different freshness. The idea for this painting was to work in great detail on the tower, and to paint the trees and vegetation on the right more loosely.
