When the light hits the trees after rain, or the water turns gold before dusk,
that’s when the brush moves.

I’m José Sánchez Peinado, a Spanish painter based in London.
My work focuses on the light and movement of this city — its ponds, its reflections, its stillness before the storm.
I paint outdoors, from life, because nothing beats the truth of being there.
