Workshops are held several times a year in different locations around Hampstead Heath, including Kenwood House and Parliament Hill. Small groups, outdoor painting, and a chance to learn how to see like an artist.

7th Edition — with Spanish artist José Sánchez Peinado

Painting indoors has limits.
Hampstead Heath doesn’t.

This workshop is about painting the real thing: real skies, real colours, real light changing by the minute. You’ll be out there, brushes in hand, guided by José Sánchez Peinado, known for his plein air watercolours and Hampstead landscapes.

Why join this workshop?

See it done live — A full painting demonstration on site in Hampstead Heath.
Tailored critique — Direct feedback on your own painting while you work.
Proven resources — Outdoor painting guide (PDF) + complete materials list so you know exactly how to prepare.
Small group, high impact — Only 8–10 people, so you’ll actually get time and attention.
End-of-day review — Optional group feedback to see how others approached the same subject.

This isn’t an art class in a white room.
It’s a day of painting outdoors in one of London’s most beautiful landscapes, with professional guidance and the energy of a group that actually wants to improve.
